Tell Stories

In modern technological life, perhaps it would be better if we spent less time on phones and computers, and more time telling stories.

  • History tells us there was a vast human experience of passing down stories by oral tradition within the family setting and the peer-group.
  • Modern American life seems to not have much of this anymore.
  • Oral tradition has the benefit of allowing the story-teller to keep fresh the re-tellings of stories to continually train and remind us of important morals and life principles.
  • Telling stories benefits the story-teller's mind as they seek to re-invent and more deeply understand timeless truths.
  • Hearing stories benefits the listeners by increasing the human bonds within the family or peer setting.
  • We suggest families and friend groups continue (revive?) the age-old practice of telling stories to illustrate truths, principles, and lessons.
